Website Full of Joy of Discovery

Finnish Science Centre Heureka in Vantaa published it's first website in 1995. At that time the website was administrated together by IT , audiovisual and communication departments. At the beginning of 2003 Heureka was searching a solution for to other people also update the site. Ambientia was choosed as a partner because of competitive price, possibilities for customising the web site and because of our easy-to-use publication system Content Manager.

Since 2004 the development of Heureka's website has been continuous. Kati Tyystjärvi, special planning officer of web communication, tell's that the website is the most commonly mentioned resource of information in Heureka's visitor research. It also has an important role in Heureka's internal communication. There are about thousand visitors at Heureka's website daily.

During the years Ambientia has also implemented for Heureka an integration between the website and CRM system, extranet for teachers, a newsletter and a wiki.

In the future the development of the website will focus on so called web 2.0 elements and extending the site from purely informational to more communicational and marketing way.

- One of our targets is to make the content more consistent with Heureka's ideology, which is bringing the joy of discovery to everyone, tells Tyystjärvi.
