Service Desk 2011 Professional comes from Ambientia

A Software developer Henna Kautto from ICT company Ambientia was chosen as the winner of The Service Desk 2011 Professional competition. HDI Nordic Ltd.’s annual competition chose also The Service Desk Manager and The Service Desk Customer of the Year 2011. Competitions are open for all companies in Finland that provide service desk services. The winners were awarded in Connection conference held in Helsinki on Wednesday 7th of September, 2011.

Some of Hennas’s strengths that were mentioned were energy, finishing and following up tasks, multiple talents, direct customer feedback and constant personal achievement of goals.

- The application that Henna’s manager sent us was thorough and carefully thought. Working as a professional is more than just mechanic work or concentrating only on numbers and facts. Many companies concentrate on problems, which causes impatience with co-workers, and finally they’ll get tired of customers too. IT professionals’ roles and improving know-how has clearly been worked out in Ambientia. The whole company has a clear vision of the ways of working, CEO Timo Keinänen from HDI Nordic Ltd. states.

Ambientia’s Customer Service Center has eight professionals working in Hämeenlinna and Tampere.

- Our customer service’s key role is solving problems and answering questions the customers have. We concentrate on improving each member of the team and building up good team dynamics to create the best service as possible, tells the Customer Service Manager Laura Niiniö from Ambientia.

- Good team spirit gives energy for working. When you are given responsibility, you want to be worth it and get better at your work, notes Henna.

The competitions that HDI Nordic organizes are meant to help to find talented people who has created positive mood for the whole working environment with their own contributions, example and attitude. It should also be noticed that these people receive constantly positive feedback from both colleagues and customers.

- These competitions launched in 2010 achieved many exceptionally good candidates. The pre-selection was a tough thing to do based merely on the applications because there were so many good and strong candidates, states Keinänen.
