Quality - a Common Goal
We at Ambientia hold quality in high regard, and we constantly invest in developing it even further by training ourselves and keeping our expertise up-to-date. In our projects, each project group is responsible for quality assurance, and a software test engineer performs a release test for each web service and application. In testing we use security-oriented and automated tools, which help in analysing the functionality of hyperlinks, visibility of images and page loading times.
We test all our solutions
New web services and applications from both the public and administrator point of view
- Version updates and other changes to a web service or application
- New products and versions
- Server transfers
- Static websites
We can also test the services and applications with mobile devices.
The importance of security
As a part of the testing process, we use software specifically designed for security testing. It goes through the service and runs a number of tests which focus on finding possible security breaches. If any are found, they are then reported to the task management system and directed to the developers, who will then work on fixing the problem.
Test plans and the reporting system
Testing is supported by test plans, which depict e.g. the test cases and registered errors. The tester reports errors to the project group as tasks via task management software. Once an error has been fixed, the tester ensures that the error does not occur again and that the fix has not broken any other features of the web service.
