Web Publishing
Web publishing is typically performed with the help of a publication system (CMS) or a portal. Ambientia takes every customer's individual needs into account and chooses the best technological solution for him. If the material to be published contains only some ten pages, it is reasonable to focus more on the user experience itself than on the technical solution. However, when there are tens of thousands of pages to be published, simple solutions for publishing them and for publication training have to be considered.
The so called publisher's desktop provides a new alternative to traditional web publishing. It gives an opportunity to manage the works of many publishers, and to write and comment on texts together before publishing. All the different versions of the texts are stored and it is easy to compare them with each other. The final version is approved and published first on the portal, and thereafter on the web. The process is very user-friendly and enables well standardized and high-quality end results.
Things to consider
To meet the most demanding needs, the following implementations are common:
- Cache solutions for large numbers of users
- Several language and country versions (separate country domains)
- Different layouts for different market areas
- Approval procedures
- Uploading pictures and other material from external sources, e.g. image banks
